When shooting in Connecticut I always seem to find interest in the Willimantic Thread Mill that although has been gone for years it remains a subject of great potential. Although I might be shooting for the Nostalgic Vaue there always seems to be a few keepers every time I shoot the old mill.
On a recent trip to Connecticut I was visiting various local artist on an open artist studio tour and I saw this image whil looking out the window of a Mill converted to an Artist Studios. Something about the combination of the colors and the light made this image appear before my eyes. Thirteen has never been so lucky fo me before the day I captured this image.

Here is an image that caused a few odd looks from passers by and just about everyone else as well I though it was merely a continuation of my GI JOE and all the other toys I like to shoot. I feel like the title could be the Trumps X'S Collection but just the same I am not so sure I have fully come up with a true title or even if I will showw it outside the realm of the internet.

This is a barn I always pass when I am visiting family in Connecticut, but this time I not only passed it I also stopped and took a few shots. I like the colors of aging and decaying materials that allows the subjects to tell a story of time and its effects. I don't have a name for it but I am still searching and I havent given up as of yet.

For me the subject is important, but the most important thing to me is generally the shapes, colors as well as the lighting in the picture. This one to me has a great pattern of colors and textures that draw my interest into the picture. I am always looking and searching for that next great image, and when I found this one I knew I found something really cool. The way I see it the wheels are always turning, and when you run over something like this one its a great day.

Whimsical fire works

Here is what I consider my best image from the 4th of July fire works at the marina by my house. I always try to shake things up by panning, zooming and shaking the camera while shooting in the BULB mode. I do enjoy working with a mono pod and moving the camera all over the place while everyone around me is fighting to keep the camera on the tripod as still as humanly possible. So when the shows over I can be assured that my images will be much different then everyone elses images, and that generally goes with out

Here is a very new image that might possible be used for my upcoming solo show. I am trying to achieve several new work for the show and I think I am coming closer to reaching this goal. I have been playing with alternative lighting and even using image altering materials to shoot through to help create this type of and effect. So how did I do with this one? Let me know what you think or even how the image makes you feel.
